A team of officers assigned to the Westmoreland Division seized one firearm along the Belle Isle Road, Grange Hill in the parish on Tuesday, March 14.
Reports are that about 4:30 a.m., a police team conducted a target operation in the area. During the search, a shopping bag containing one CZ 75 9mm pistol was found in bushes. No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.
Investigation continues.
