Jamaica News, Kingston: A fire which is believed to have been caused from electrical shortage and which destroyed minor sections of the inside of the Kingston Traffic Court on Friday, May 18, resulted in a number of cases being postponed.

It is reported that on Friday shortly after 11:00 a.m., the Court House was in motion when fire was seen coming from a Circuit box.

The Court House was evacuated and the Fire Department summoned. Upon arrival at the scene, the firemen quickly put out the fire which is said to have destroyed most of the electrical wiring in the building.

The fire resulted in a number of cases which were set for the traffic court being postponed and set for another date.
