JAMAICAN NEWS, FEBRUARY 18, 2018 – Sweet and Juicy Building

Clarendon, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – A fire which is believed to be the work of Arson and which resulted in damages estimated in the regions of over JMD$5 million destroyed sections of the Sweets and Juicy Building in Four Paths Clarendon on Saturday, February 17.

Reports by the Four Paths Police are that shortly after 5:30 pm residents living in Swansea District of Osbourne, in the parish of Clarendon alerted the police and the Fire Department after they saw smoke coming from a section of the building.

The Firemen rushed to the area and upon arrival, they discovered that the middle section of the building was engulfed in flames.

After several hours they managed to put out the blaze and carried out an investigation which led them to believe that the Fire was lit by someone who gained access to the building.

It is not sure if the building which is owned by Mrs Janice Levy, 42-year-old businesswoman of Denbigh also in Clarendon was insured.
