Female Tour Operator Dies in Hanover Crash

Latest Jamaica News, Hanover (McKoy’s News): Twenty-eight-year-old Chelsie Malcolm, a female tour operator of Cousins Cove in Hanover, died from injuries she received in a motor vehicle accident which occurred along a section of the Lances Bay main road, in Hanover, on Wednesday night, August 14.

Malcolm’s 8-month-old daughter, who was along with her mother in the vehicle also sustained injuries and is presently at hospital in serious condition.

Reports by the Lucea Police are that about 10:40 p.m., Malcolm who is a JUTA tour operator was driving a Silver Toyota Fielder motor car from the directions of Lucea towards Green Island.

Upon reaching the vicinity of the Lances Bay Bridge, she lost control of the vehicle, which crashed into a utility pole.

Malcolm and her daughter sustained injuries and were rushed to the Noel Holmes Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, and her daughter treated and admitted.

The child was later transferred to the Cornwall Regional Hospital.
