Jamaica Crime News, St James: An unidentified woman who the police say they believed to be a sex worker, was stabbed to death during an altercation with a male customer, along a section of East Street in Montego Bay, St James, on Saturday night, September 29.
The accused male customer who also received multiple stab wounds, is presently under police guard at the Cornwall Regional Hospital.
Reports by the Barnett Street Police are that shortly after 9:00 p.m., a dispute developed between the sex worker and the male customer outside a building along East Street.
During the dispute, knives were drawn and both the female and the male accused, inflicted stab wounds to each other.
The wounded man reportedly went to the Cornwall Regional hospital to get treatment and the police were alerted.
Upon arrival, the officers were informed by him that he was stabbed by a female who attacked him while he was walking along East Street.
The lawmen then went back to East Street and stumbled upon the lifeless body of the unidentified woman.
She was discovered lying in a pool of blood, outside a building, with multiple stab wounds.
She was transported to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
