Female Robbed and Murdered Under State of Emergency in St Catherine

Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: Despite a State of Public Emergency been imposed on the St Catherine North Division, gunmen still continue to prey on the residents and carry out several criminal acts including shootings, robberies and murders.
The latest victim to be killed by gunmen in the parish has been identified as, 30-year-old Kidonne Miller who resides at a section of the Linstead area known as Time and Patience.
Reports by the Linstead police are that shortly after 7:00 p.m. on Monday night, May 28, Miller was at her home in Time and Patience when armed men forced their way inside her house.
The gunmen proceeded to rob Ms. Miller of an undetermined sum of cash, along with jewelry and household appliances. Before leaving the house the armed robbers opened fire hitting her to her upper body.
Residents in the area who overheard the explosions alerted the police and upon arrival, they discovered Miller lying in her house in a pool of blood.
The wounded female was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
