A female is now dead following her involvement in a motor vehicle accident which occurred along a section of the Sandy Bay main road, in Sandy Bay, Hanover on Sunday evening, February 9.

She has been identified so far as Tasicka Brown, of Pumpkin Bottom, also in Sandy Bay, Hanover.

Reports by the Sandy Bay police are that about 4:00 p.m., on Sunday, Brown and two other persons were travelling in a motor vehicle from the directions of Hopewell, towards Sandy Bay.

On reaching a section of the Sandy Bay main road, in the vicinity of the Sandy Bay square, the driver of another car which was travelling immediately in front, applied is brakes, and the driver of the car in which Brown was travelling ,  swerve to avoid colliding in the rear of the car and crashed into a wall.

Brown and two other persons sustained injuries and were transported to the Noel Holmes hospital in Lucea,  where Brown was pronounced dead, and the other victims admitted in serious condition.
