Breaking News: Female Fake Doctor Arrested

Jamaica Crime News: Female Fake Doctor Arrested – Investigators attached to the Area One Fraud Squad in St James, have confirmed that they have arrested and charged a woman who was being sought by the police for several crimes which includes forgery, uttering a false document and obtaining money by false pretense.

stemming from her allegedly posing as a medical doctor in Western Jamaica.

The accused has been allegedly posing as a medical doctor, was also being sought for breaches of the Medical Act and the Larceny Act. She has been identified as Alicia Patrice England who also goes by the name McCrane, or Dr. McCrane.

Detectives say England was taken into custody early Wednesday morning and after being questioned, she was subsequently charged. She is booked to appear in the St. James parish Court on Friday, March 22.

It is reported that in one case England collected hundreds of thousands of dollars in payment for allegedly treating a 2-year old child in Western Jamaica, and wrote prescriptions.

Several persons in St James are believed to have been victims of the woman’s scam, and the police are now asking these persons to come forward, and are being asked to contact the Area One Fraud Squad immediately.
