Hanover, Jamaica (McN) – The 19-year-old female driver behind the American tourist death, is charged. She was granted bail when she appeared in the Sandy Bay RM Court on Thursday, April 13
The accused Trudy Ann Knibb is facing charges of Causing Death by Dangerous Driving to Gilbert Randy Jones, 26 years old male tourist of Florida in the United States of America.

Reports are that on Sunday, afternoon April 9 about 3:45 pm Knibb was at a Family Fun Day been held on the Elgin Town playing field in Lucea Hanover.
She then reportedly took the keys to a motor car owned by her pastor and drove it away, allegedly without his consent.
On reaching a section of the Johnson Town main road she reportedly lost control of the vehicle which skid to the right side of the road and mowed down the American Tourist who was among a group of other tourist who stopped at a Rest Stop in the area.
The wounded tourist was rushed to the Noel Holmes Hospital where he was pronounced dead, while the Lucea police were summoned. Following an investigation the teenager was taken into custody and charged.
Knibb was issued bail with two sureties on Thursday when she appeared in court and will be returning to court on
June 30th. 2017.
