Jamaica News, St Ann:  The Police Federation body which represents the rank and file members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force  (JCF)  has now indicated that for the first time ever since its 75 years of existence, the organization will be headed by a female police officer.

On Thursday, May 17, history was rewritten in the Jamaica Constabulary Force with Corporal Arlene McBean, who is assigned to the Motorized Division of the JCF being voted in as the new Chairman to lead the Police Federation.

Following the recent promotion of the former Chairman Raymond Wilson, the organization was being manned without a grounded leader.

On Thursday afternoon the executive body of the Police Federation held an election at their annual Conference which was held at the Moon Palace Hotel in Ocho Rios.

The voting ended with Corporal McBean being voted in as the new Chairman to lead the organization.
