Jamaica Crime News, Manchester: One man is now dead and his brother taken into custody by the Manchester Police, following a stabbing incident at their home in Richmond District, Manchester on Sunday, October 7.
The deceased has been identified as Anthony Campbell, otherwise called “Anthony” 22-year-old, also of Richmond district.
Reports by the police are that about 11:55 p.m. on Sunday, Campbell and his mother got involved in a dispute at their home.
It is further reported that the accused brother intervened in his mother’s defense and told his brother to cease from disrespecting his mother.
Campbell then turned on his brother, who reached from a knife, which he used to stab him in the regions of his upper body.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, Campbell was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The brother was taken into custody by the police.
Later that afternoon, the family home was set ablaze by arsonist and it completely burnt to the ground.
The mother of both men and their four siblings were left homeless.
It is alleged that the father of the dead man, was taken into custody by the police in connection with the fire which destroyed the home.
