Father and Son Killed in St Ann Crash

The St Ann police have now released the names of two men who lost their lives in a  two-bus collision which along a section of the Priory, St Ann, on Saturday morning, July 13.

The victims have been identified as 55-year-old Elkeito Mushette, of Greater Portmore, and his 29-year-old son, Sheldon Mushette, of Spanish Town, both in St Catherine.

Reports by the police are at shortly after 9:00 a.m., on Saturday, the father and son were travelling in a minibus, which has been driven by Mr. Mushette.

On reaching a section of the Richmond main road, in Priory, St Ann, the bus which was heading in the directions of Kingston, drifted in the path of a JUTC bus, which was travelling in the opposite direction.

The impact of the crash, sent the minibus straight through the front of the JUTC bus, resulting in the death of Mr. Mushette and his son.

The drivers of the JUTC bus who was transporting church members from the Angel Assembly of God, in Spanish Town on a Church Trip, sustained injuries, and he along with 45 of the church members received injuries and were rushed to hospital where they were treated.
