Jamaica Crime News, Trelawny: The police in Trelawny are now carrying out investigation surrounding the shooting death of a man in the parish on, Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Michael Smith, 43-year-old farmer who resided at a section of Sawyers district known as Cottage.
Reports by the Stewart Town Police are that about 12:30 a.m., on Saturday, Smith and two other men were at a house in Burke District when gunshots were heard coming from the house.
The two men were later seen running from the house and residents went to investigate.
They stumbled upon Smith’s body and alerted the police. Upon arrival, the farmer was discovered lying in a pool of blood, with a gunshot wound to his face.
He was transported to the Falmouth hospital where he was pronounced dead. In the meanwhile, the police say they are now in search of both men.
