Falmouth Police Seeks Assistance to Identify Three Persons Who Perish in Motor Vehicle Accident

Jamaica News, Trelawny: The Traffic police in Falmouth Trelawny say they are now appealing to members of the public for their assistance, to identify the three victims who perished in a motor vehicle accident, which occurred along a section of Duncan’s Bypass in the parish on Monday afternoon.

The traffic officers related that two of the victims were burnt beyond recognition in one of the vehicles which caught fire, while the other victim is a female believed to be in her mid-sixties.  She is of light complexion and about 5feet 5 inches tall.

The police have related that up to this time, no one has come forward to indicate that they are the relatives of the victims or at least know the victims.

Reports are that shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Monday, the two unidentified burnt victims who are believed to be two males, were traveling in a Nissan Tida motor car along a section of Duncan’s Bypass.

Three Perish in Two Motor Vehicle Collision in Trelawny  

On reaching a section of the roadway, the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a red Toyota Corolla motor car which was operating as a taxi and traveling in the opposite direction.

The impact of the crash resulted in the Nissan Tida motor car bursting into flames and both passengers were burnt beyond recognition.

The elderly woman who was traveling as a passenger in the taxi motor car along with three other passengers sustained head and body injuries.  The female died on the spot while the other wounded passengers were rushed to the Falmouth Hospital where they were admitted.

The Falmouth Fire Department was alerted and one unit responded. Upon arrival, the firemen put out the blaze and the bodies were later removed.

Anyone with information that could assist the police to gain the identities of the victims is being asked to contact the nearest police station, Police Control at 119 or the Falmouth Police Station.
