ESCAPEE ROBBER BEING SOUGHT BY THE POLICE

St. James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- ESCAPEE ROBBER BEING SOUGHT BY THE POLICE: The St. James Police are now searching sections of the parish for a teenage robber who they say escape police custody a few days ago while being placed under police guard at the Cornwall Regional Hospital.

The escaped prisoner has since been identified as Andre Gordon 19 years old of a New Market address in St. Elizabeth. The Barnett Street police reported that shortly after 8:20 am on Wednesday, September 27th an elderly woman stopped a patrol car which was traveling along Barnett Street and pointed out Gordon to be the robber who held her up and robbed her earlier that morning.

Gordon was approached by the lawmen and he allegedly brandished a knife and attacked one member of the police patrol. One of the officers pulled his service revolver and shot him.

During a search of his person, the stolen items were recovered. Gordon was later transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was treated and admitted under police guard. The 19 years old prisoner reportedly pulled off a daring escape days later and is presently being sought.
