Entertainer Held for Montego Bay Taxi Man Killing

Jamaica Crime News, Montego Bay: The Freeport police in Montego Bay, St James, have taken a 23-year-old, resort entertainment coordinator into custody, in connection with the murder of a taxi operator, who was reported missing from his home since Tuesday, May 21.

The deceased has been identified as 49-year-old Horace Roseway, otherwise called “Chunkman” taxi operator of Rosemount Crescent, Montego Bay.

Reports are that on Tuesday afternoon, Roseway and his motor car were reported missing, by a relative.

The police launched an investigation, and they later apprehend the entertainment coordinator, who was caught driving the missing taxi operator’s car.

Upon been interrogated, the suspect led the police to an open lot, off the Brandon hill main road, in Montego Bay, where Roseway’s decomposing body was found wrapped in a sheet, which was placed underneath a sheet of zinc.

A piece of cable wire was also found tied around the victim’s neck and a stone used to bash in a section of his head.

The scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue, for a post-mortem examination.

The accused entertainment coordinator, who resides in the same Rosemount community, was taken into custody and is expected to be charged with murder in the next few hours.
