Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: Christopher Townsend, the Attorney-at-law representing dancehall entertainer, Elephant man, has now confirmed that his client is not hiding from the law and that he is willing to meet with the police at any given time.
It is also understood that the Attorney has hinted that the police should know, what they see on social media, is not necessarily what it appears to be.
Megastar dancehall entertainer and a female were listed as Persons of Interest, by the Criminal Investigation Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force on Tuesday afternoon, January 29.
The entertainer came under the police radar few days ago after a video surfaced on social media, depicting him and a female companion at a undisclosed location with a firearm.
The video shows the female who is dressed in a skimpy outfit, playing with a handgun after which she handed it to the dancehall entertainer.
The video immediately caught the eyes of the police and the Jamaica Firearm licensing Authority (JFLA), who came public and reported that Elephant man is not a licensed firearm holder.
On Tuesday afternoon, January 29, the police High command sent out a press release which clearly states that an investigation has now been launched into the incident.
