Dancehall entertainer Elephant man was questioned by the Kingston police, on Friday morning,  February 1st,  and later released.

The entertainer recently came under the scope of the law, after a video surfaced on social media showing a man resembling the entertainer being handed a handgun by a female.

Our news team as learned that Elephant man is now lashing out that he is been framed, and it is also understood that he distanced himself from the video while pointing out that he is not aware of such incident.
Christopher Townsend, the Attorney at law representing the dancehall entertainer, told reporters that they went to the police station on Friday morning as planned,  and his client was taken back to his apartment and a search carried out of the premises.

He was then taken back to the police station and placed before a question and answer session.

Following the session, he was released.

Mr.Townsend on Tuesday afternoon made it quite clear that his client was not hiding from the law, and that he was willing to meet with the police at any given time.

It is also understood that the Attorney is still sticking to the facts that the investigators should know that, what they see on social media, is not necessarily what it appears to be.

Megastar dancehall entertainer, Elephant man and a female was listed as Persons of Interest, by the Criminal Investigation Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force,  on Tuesday afternoon, January 29th, following an investigation.

The entertainer came under the police radar a few days ago after a video surfaced on social media, with a man resembling the entertainer and s female who is dressed in a skimpy outfit, playing with a handgun,  after which she handed the firearm to the man resembling the dancehall entertainer.

The video immediately caught the eyes of the police, and the Jamaica Firearm licensing Authority ( JFLA), who came public and reported that Elephant man is not a licensed firearm holder.

On Tuesday afternoon, January 29th, the police High command sent out a press release which clearly states that an investigation has now been launched into the incident.

According to the press release,  ” in the video, the female is seen playing with a firearm, which she later handed to the entertainer “,

” the police have made several checks at locations were the entertainer is associated with in order to assist with the investigation but he was not seen,  so he along with the female are now both listed as Persons of Interest in connection with the investigation “.
