Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- Vote Counting Done In Two Constituencies- Electoral Office Of Jamaica: According to the Electoral Commission of Jamaica (ECJ), the final counting of votes for Monday’s (October 30, 2017) by-elections have been completed in two of the three constituencies.

 

While the count in St. Andrew South Western concluded yesterday, the returning officer for St. Andrew Southern completed that count at 3:45 p.m. today. There are still 18 boxes left to be counted in St. Mary South Eastern.

 

The ECJ stated that the returning officer for each constituency must submit the results to the Director of Elections within seven (7) clear days after completing the final count. After receiving the results, the Director of Elections will then advise the Governor General and Clerk to the Houses of Parliament as to the winning candidates.
