Elderly Man Perished in Manchester Fire

Jamaica Crime News, Manchester: An elderly man who has been identified as  70-year-old Leroy Pinnock of Porus, Manchester, perished in a fire which also completely destroyed his home on Wednesday night, November 14.

Reports by the Porus Police are that about7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, residents living in the community saw fire coming from a section of the one apartment, board dwelling house, which is owned and occupied by Pinnock and raised an alarm.

The police and fire department were summoned and upon arrival of the firemen, they could only manage to carry out cooling down operations.

During a search of the burnt rubbles, the firemen discovered the charred remains of the elderly man.

The scene was processed and the body removed from the scene and pronounced dead at hospital.
