The Kingston police have listed the taxi operator who reportedly mowed down a policeman while on duty in Kingston on Thursday morning, as a Person of Interest
Investigators say they are now asking 43-year-old Edward Rochester, to turn himself over to the Half Way Tree police station immediately.
Reports are that about 7:00 am, the cop who was on duty in the vicinity of Worthington Avenue and Trafalgar Road in New Kingston, when he ordered Rochester who was driving a taxi motorcar to stop.
Rochester disobeyed the cop’s orders and mowed him down before speeding away.
The cop was rushed to the hospital, and the police have launched a manhunt for the taxi operator.
