Jamaica News: 500 million dollars! That’s how much the “Eat What We Grow” campaign has saved Jamaica since its launch 14 years ago.

The figure was revealed by outgoing President of the Jamaica Agriculture Society (JAS) Norman Grant.

Mr. Grant urged farmers to “stick with it as only through their effort will Jamaica emerge from a dependence on foreign goods.”

He was speaking to farmers at the Denbigh Show Grounds in Clarendon.
