Double Murder in Kingston

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: Detectives attached to the Major Investigation Division, MID, are presently carrying out an investigation surrounding the shooting death of two men, and the shooting and wounding of two others, on Bentley Lane, in Kingston 13, on Tuesday, March 26.

The victims have been identified as 27-year-old Rushwan Clarke of Spanish Town, Kingston 11 and 25-year-old Leroy Edwards, otherwise called “Image” of Belvedere Drive, Red Hills in St. Andrew.

The names of the two injured men are presently being withheld by the police.

Reports by the police are that about 8:15 p.m., all four men were among other patrons at a bar along Bentley Lane, when a motor car, with three men on board drove up.

Two of the men alighted from the vehicle and brandished handguns. The armed men opened fire hitting all four victims, before making their escape in the area on foot.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, the four wounded men were transported to hospital, where Clarke and Edwards were pronounced dead. The other two victims were treated and admitted in serious condition.
