Double Murder in Hanover on Boxing Day

Jamaica Crime News, Hanover: Two men were shot and killed by gunmen in Cold Spring, Hanover on Wednesday morning, December 26.

The victims have been identified as 53-year-old, Kenneth Heman, shopkeeper and his 52-year-old nephew Frank Birch, Mason, and both of Cold Spring.

Reports by the Lucea police are that about 2:00 a.m., on Wednesday morning,  Heman was at his home in Cold Spring, when he got news that his nephew, Frank, had gotten drunk and was behaving in a disorderly manner.

Heman then got up from his bed and walked down the road to fetch his nephew.

While on their way back to their home, they were ambushed by armed men who opened fire hitting Birch.

Heman ran passing his own home, but he was chased by the gunmen, who caught up with him and shot him multiple times.

The explosions alerted family members of both men and residents in the community who rushed to the location. Upon their arrival, Heman and Birch were found dead on the spot.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the scene was processed and both victims were transported to the Noel Holmes Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
