Jamaica Crime News, Clarendon: Two men were fatally shot, and two others shot and injured during a drive-by shooting in Hayes, Clarendon on Wednesday night, January 16.
Those killed have been identified as 53-year-old Burtnel Corny, otherwise called “Corny”, laborer of Corn Piece district and 33-year-old Sheldon Bromfield, otherwise called “Chanderpaul”, a taxi operator and both of Hayes Clarendon.
In the meanwhile, our news team learnt that the other two injured victims are presently at hospital in serious condition.
Reports by the police are that about 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday night, the four men were among a group of persons playing dominoes at a shop along the Hayes main road, when a group of armed men drove to the community in a Nissan AD wagon motor vehicle.
The men brandished handguns and opened fire on the crowd, hitting all four victims.
After the gunmen sped away from the scene, the police were summoned and upon their arrival, all four victims were found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
They were transported to hospital where Bromfield and Bent were pronounced dead, and the other two men admitted in serious condition.
