Jamaica News: Communication giants Digicel has joined forces with Wysinco to become title sponsors of the DaCosta and Manning Cup competitions for the next 3 years.
Between them the companies will inject 106.5 million into the competition-the lion’s share of 75 million coming Digicel.
They take over title sponsorship of the competitions from Flow.
In the meantime KFC has come on board as associate sponsors and will pump 18 million dollars into the competitions.
The fast food giants will also add $500 of sponsorship for every goal scored in the first round of the competition.
In another notable change, the Super Cup will now be known as the Issa Champions Cup.
The details were announced at the official launch Wednesday.
The season kicks off Saturday September 8 at Catherine Hall in St James with Jamaica College against Hydel High and Rusea’s High versus Green Island High.
