Denham Town Police Release Identity of Man Killed in Triple Shooting

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: The Denham Town police say they have now made a breakthrough into the identity of a man who was shot and killed along Maxfield Avenue in Kingston, on Monday afternoon, May 6.

The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Rashaun Saunders, otherwise called “Papa” of Barcelona boulevard, Phoenix Vista in Portmore, St Catherine.

The two other men who were shot, are presently at hospital in serious but stable condition

The Denham town police reported that shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Saunders and a group of men were repairing a motorcycle which had broken down, at a mechanic shop along Maxfield Avenue, when they were ambushed by armed men.

The gunmen opened fire hitting Saunders and the other two men, before escaping in the area on foot.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, the wounded men were transported to hospital, where Saunders was pronounced dead, and the other two treated and admitted.

The police say that specific area has been prone to a number of mass shootings over the recent weeks.
