Jamaica  Crime News, St Catherine: Detectives attached to the Portmore CIB Department say they are now awaiting a post-mortem examination to assist them in the double murder of a St Catherine taxi operator and a female, whose bodies were discovered in a decomposing state in bushes in the area on Thursday evening, October 25.

Both victims have been identified as Andrew Hailett, 34-year-old, taxi operator of Greater Portmore and Monique Brown, 23-year-old  unemployed of Daytona district, also in Portmore.

A motor vehicle owned by the taxi operator who was reported missing days before was discovered on Wednesday at another section of the community.

The police have reported that shortly after 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, residents stumbled upon the bodies of both victims in the vicinity of Dyke Road and raised an alarm.

Upon arrival of the lawmen, the bodies were both found in a vast state of decomposition and the police have theorized that both victims could have been murdered elsewhere and their bodies dumped at the location.
