Westmoreland, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Maxfield Westmoreland: the police in the parish of Westmoreland are now seeking the assistance of the public identify a man whose partially decomposing body was discovered in a section of the Maxfield community, in the parish on Thursday evening.
Investigators pointed out that the deceased is of dark complexion and was clad in a Green shirt, Black undershirt, multicoloured boxer shorts and a pair of Black Puma Sneakers.
Reports are that about 1:30 pm on Thursday, February 1, a farmer in the Maxfield community, in the parish of Westmoreland was on his way to his farm when he stumbled upon the partially decomposing body and raised an alarm.
The police were then summoned and upon their arrival, they carried out a series of investigations and processing of the area.
It was discovered that the body was in a vast state of decomposing and sections of his face and upper body had been eaten away by animals.
The body was later transported to the Savanna la Mar hospital in Westmoreland, where he was pronounced dead and then removed to the morgue.
Since the start of the year, a total of 13 persons have been reported killed in the parish of Westmoreland.
