Latest Jamaica News, Clarendon (McKoy’s News): Deaf Man Killed By Truck A truck driver who mowed down a deaf man while reversing with his truck on the Glenmuir Housing Scheme in May Pen, Clarendon, has since been warned for prosecution.

The deceased has been identified as 62-year-old Roland Temple, also of Glenmuir Housing Scheme.

Reports are that about 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Temple who is physically impaired (deaf) was walking along the roadway, when the driver of the international truck who was reversing failed to see the elderly man.

Temple also failed to hear the truck reversing, which resulted in him being run over by the truck. Temple was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
