Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Dead Robber Identified: The police in Granville, St James say they have now made headway into identifying an armed robber who was shot and killed by a licensed firearm holder during a robbery attempt in the parish in late June.
The police further stated that the slain robber has been positively identified as Marcus Robinson, who escaped from the Montego Bay Freeport lockup in 2015 after being arrested on charges of illegal possession of firearm and shooting.
It is reported that on the night of June 20th, Robinson went to Hurlock district and held up a resident at gunpoint.
The victim who was a licensed firearm holder, pulled his firearm and shot the gunman to death. The police were alerted and upon arrival, an illegal firearm was recovered from the slain robber.
A full investigation led to the discovery that the robber was in fact, the wanted gunman who escaped custody two years ago.
