Jamaica News: 88 schools will do battle for the 2018 rural area DaCosta Cup title. That’s an increase of 2 teams from last year.

The teams are shared across 15 zones with 6 in each zone, except for zones D and H which have 5 teams each.

Defending Champions Rusea’s will begin their title defense on the opening day of the season on September 8 in Montego Bay, St James.

The Jamaica music fraternity was plunged into mourning after the passing of “Carrot” formerly of world renowned group Third World.

So far 3 teams have withdrawn from

this year’s competition including former champions Godfrey Stewart.

Among the first time entrants are Sydney Pagon High and Belmont Academy who will play in Zones E and D respectively.
