Angella Anderson will go to trial in May after pleading not guilty to possession of ganja and dealing in ganja when police found 4.02 ounces of marijuana at her residence.
The Leaders Avenue, St. James woman appeared before the St. James Parish Court on Friday.
St. James Parish Judge Sandria Wong-Small set the trial date for May 31 after having a dialogue with Anderson’s lawyer Michael Hemmings and the prosecution.
Court documents revealed that on September 13, 2018, members of the Lottery Scam Task Force conducted a raid at Anderson’s premises on Leaders Avenue. During the search, a black plastic bag containing several parcels with the weed was found under her bed. She was arrested and charged.
