St Elizabeth, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Update on Kern Spencer’s Father is that his belt buckle was the shield that prevented a bullet from entering the older Spencer’s abdomen last night as he was attacked by gunmen in Balaclava, St Elizabeth.
It is reported that Daniel Spencer, 71, was almost shot in the abdomen when a gunman fired a bullet at his upper section, which hit his belt buckle and exploded.
Spencer only received minor injury from the effect of the explosion.
Kern Spencer reports that his father was returning after 8 pm on Wednesday, January 24, to his Balaclava, St Elizabeth home when he came face to face with three gunmen at the gate to his home.
He said his father who is a licensed firearm holder challenged the gunmen who ran away into the nearby bushes while they opened fire.
He was taken to hospital, where he was treated and released.
Kern calls his father narrow miss from serious injury, a miracle.
