Jamaica News, Montego Bay: The Bogue Village community on Sunday signaled to the world that they have no intentions to sit and allow their community to be freely traversed or occupied by persons with deviant intent with the Launch of there neighborhood watch.
In what one may consider a very colorful affair, the community converged at the Baylife Baptist Church for the official launch. The event was attended by Custos of St. James Rev. Conrad Pitkin, Minister of National Security Horace Chang, Attorney General, and MP for the area Mrs. Marlene Malahoo Forte, Councillor Dwight Crawford who brings greetings on behalf of the Mayor, as well as, fellow Councillor David Brown. The High command was also represented by Supt. Ricketts, Inspectors Brown, and Powell along with their team.
All the officials present spoke to how pleased they were to see the efforts of the community coming together to improve the safety and security, in keeping with the of the vision of the government.
According to the President Mr. Garfield Williams, the occasion marks a new day in the life of the community and he also commended his management team and the wider community, on their commitment and support to transform the community, in keeping with the vision to make Bogue Village the place of choice to live and raise families.
Special commendations and thanks must be extended to the Baylife Baptist Church family (Pastor Pryce and team) for opening their doors to help the community mark the special occasion in a special way… in the house of the lord.
