Customer Service Rep Shot and Injured at City Centre in Mobay, Dies At Hospital

Latest Jamaica News, Montego Bay (McKoy’s News): Customer Service Rep Shot The Barnett Street police in Montego Bay have confirmed that the Customer Service Rep who was shot and injured during a drive-by shooting, which took place in broad daylight outside the busy shopping community of the City Centre Building in Montego Bay, St James, on Friday, September 13, has died at hospital.

He has been identified as 28-year-old Nicholas Hutchings, Bank Customer Service Representative of Greenwood, also in St James.

Reports by the Barnett Street police are that about 2:30 p.m., Hutchings was walking from the directions of the bank towards the City Centre Car park, when a motor vehicle with several men on board drove up to him.

The men travelling in the vehicle brandished handguns and opened fire hitting Hutchings multiple times to his upper body.

Hutchings managed to run but collapsed a short distance away, and the vehicle sped away. The wounded Bank worker was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, where he was treated and admitted.

Hutchings succumbed to gunshot injuries at hospital on Wednesday morning, September 18.
