Jamaica Crime News, St James: A 22-year-old man was charged in connection with Breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act, after he was caught in possession of ganja weighing approximately one pound, at the security checkpoint in Montpelier St. James on Wednesday afternoon, August 15.
The accused has been identified as Justin Johnson of a White Hall district in St. Elizabeth and employed at a call Centre at the Montego Bay, Freezone as a Customer Service Rep.
Reports by the Freeport police are that about 6:30 p.m., a joint military team carrying out security checks under the State of Public Emergency in Montpelier, St. James, carried out a search of a passenger bus.
A search was carried out of a bag which Johnson was carrying and found to contain ganja weighing approximately one pound.
The accused was taken into custody and subsequently charged.
