Curfew in August Town to be Lifted

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: A Curfew which was imposed in August Town, Kingston 7,  on Tuesday February 19, is scheduled to be lifted today Thursday February 21,

The curfew was imposed on the community following a series of violent flare-up and several murders which have been taken place over the past weeks.

The curfew took effect on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. up until Thursday 6:00 p.m., and covers the boundaries from Gold Smith Villa to August Town Road.

From August Town Road along University Road to Moy Lane.

Also Moy Lane to Top Road, and then from Top Road back to Gold Smith Villa.

The police have reported that several men who are believed to be Persons of Interest were taken into custody within the curfew.
