Criminal Charges Laid Against Men Taken into Custody During Firearm Seizure in Kingston 11
Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: The Kingston police are now reporting that the two men who were taken into custody, in connection with the seizure of two illegal firearms, during an operation carried out by the police at sections of Tivoli Garden in Kingston 11, on Monday night of June 25th, have been officially charged.
The Investigators further stated that, both accused may be required to face a series of identification parades, therefore, their names will not be released at this time. So far, they are facing charges of Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition.
Man Taken into Custody in Connection with Firearm Seizure in Portland
Reports by the police are that shortly after 8:45 p.m. on Monday, a team of officers were carrying out routine patrols in sections of Tivoli Gardens when they saw the two men walking in the area.
On seeing the police approaching, the men started to act suspicious and they were accosted and searched. They were found to be carrying two illegal firearms, a .38 revolver and Tanfoglio 9mm semi-automatic pistol loaded with thirteen live rounds on their person.
