Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: The Kingston police have confirmed that the three foreign nationals who were recently arrested at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston on Sunday, July 22, for breaching the Proceeds of Crime Act, were officially charged on Thursday, July 26.
The three accused have been identified as, Claudia Clijdesale, 30-year-old of Suriname, Ingrid Asaitie, 31-year-old also of Suriname and Delroy Sanduliet, 30-year-old of French Guiana.
They have all been charged jointly with Possession of Criminal Property, Concealing Criminal Property, Attempting to leave Jamaica with Criminal Property, Facilitating the Retention of Criminal Property and Conspiracy.
The three accused, two from Suriname and the other from French Guiana were arrested by Narcotics detectives about 2:45 p.m. as they attempted to board a flight to Guyana.
They were searched and American $ 93,000, Suriname $ 325, Euro $150 and Jamaican $50 found concealed on their person.
Clijdesale, Asaitie and Sanduliet were charged on Thursday afternoon and are booked to appear in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Thursday, August 2.
