St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Craft Vendor Murdered: The St James police have now launched a search of the parish for three men who reportedly shot and killed a craft vendor at a section of Rose Hall in the parish on Sunday evening.

The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Kayodian Grant, Craft vendor of Catadupa District.

The police also stated that the identity of one of the men who are now being sought is already known to them.

According to the police, Grant and the main suspect had an argument earlier on Sunday,  January 14, about 9:30 am. It is also alleged that Grant used a bottle to hit the suspect in his head and he left the scene after threatening that he was going to return and kill him.

About 3:15 pm Grant was standing in the vicinity of the RIU Hotel along the Rosehall main road when the said suspect with whom he had the argument earlier returned in the company of two other men.

The men brandished handguns and fired several shots hitting Grant all over his body.

The gunmen then escaped in a waiting motor car while the police were summoned and upon arrival, the victim was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
