Couple Executed In Montego Bay

St. James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- Couple Executed In Montego Bay: A common law couple was shot and killed by gunmen on  Leader Avenue in Montego Bay  on Saturday night.

They have been identified as 25-year-old Jhevani James, otherwise called Jev or Scar, , unemployed of Bread Lane in Paradise Crescent and his
24-year-old girlfriend, Shavorna Crystal Brown, chef, employed to Hilton Hotel and residing at Spot Valley and Bread Lane.

Reports are that at  about 11:30 pm on Saturday, the common law couple were travelling in a Grey Toyota Corolla motor car from the direction of Queens Drive, going  towards Paradise. On reaching a section of Leader Avenue, they were ambushed by a group of men travelling in another motor vehicle. The men brandished AK 47 rifles and open fire on the vehicle killing the couple on the spot.

The police were summoned,  and on their  arrival,  they found the vehicle  crashed into a perimeter wall and riddled with bullets. James was found slumped around the steering wheel, and Brown lying in the passenger seat. Both had multiple gunshot wounds to their upper bodies.

A total of eight murders have taken  place in a 24 hour period, from Friday night to Saturday night,  in the parish of St. James.
