Police are seeking a St James woman who it is believed joined with her son in attacking and wounding a man in the parish on Thursday, September 10. The son has been held by police and charged for wounding with intent. He is 19-year-old Quwayne Lewis, otherwise called ‘Ice’, of Wagon Wheel, Lilliput in St. James.

Reports from the Barrett Town Police are that about 10:30 a.m., Lewis and his mother allegedly pounced upon the complainant at his workplace and used knives to stab him several times all over his body. The complainant managed to escape, and residents assisted him to the hospital.

Lewis was arrested when he turned up at the police station later the same day to make a report. He was subsequently charged on Sunday, September 13 and is scheduled to appear before the St. James Parish Court at a later date.

Detectives are appealing to his mother to turn herself in the Barrett Town Police Station immediately.

Anyone knowing her whereabouts is being asked to contact the Barrett Town Police at 876-953-7899, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest Police Station.
