Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)Miss Jamaica Universe Contestant Appointed End Bullying Globally Ambassador: Miss Jamaica Universe North West contestant Ashana Bucknor has now joined up with the End Bullying Globally team.

The beautiful and elegant female, who is one to watch at the 2017 staging of the Miss Jamaica Universe North-West Pageant, was voted as an Ambassador for the End Bullying Globally Campaign on Monday, May 29, 2017.

Speaking with Mckoy’s News Manager,  Mrs. Bucknor stated that she is very pleased to be a part of the End Bullying Team, as she herself fell prey to bullying while attending high school and since then she as always been an advocate for the cause.

She further states that, the End Bullying Team is fundamental to our society and with bullying getting out of hand nowadays, especially in schools, she believes it’s an honor to be a part of such a distinguished group which has been creating positive impacts on the lives of young Jamaicans.

The End Bullying Globally Campaign was founded in early 2000 by Antonio Mckoy, founder of the Le Antonio Foundation. The campaign is an outreach programme that visits schools and educates students on the effects of bullying.  The programme also creates structures of intervention, counseling, and prevention mechanisms to support victims.
