Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- Constable Robbed; Robbers Shot And Injured: A police Constable attached to the Kingston Eastern Police Division was (this afternoon) involved in a shooting incident with men who robbed him of cash and his cellphone.

Reports are that a Constable, along with a female companion was standing along a roadway in the area, when men traveling in a grey colored motor car, alighted from the car, held him at gunpoint and relieved him of his personal belongings.

Constable Blagrove who was armed with his Service Glock pistol challenged the men and there was an exchange of gunfire. The men then fled in the car, which was later found abandoned along Bay Farm Road in the vicinity of Aloe Avenue.

A 21-yr-old man of a Greater Portmore address and  a 26-yr-old man of a Lincoln Court, later turned up at the Spanish Town Hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. It is suspected that they are the two men who had earlier challenged the Constable.

Lowe who had gunshot wounds to the right eye and left side of the chest and Jackson who had a gunshot wound to the left thigh, were unable to provide the police with information as to the circumstances under which they received their injuries.

The Hunts Bay C.I.B is continuing their investigations into this incident.
