Jamaica Crime News, St Andrew: A 37-year-old woman who is said to be the Common-law Wife of alleged area don, Rohan Nelson, was shot and killed by gunmen in her community of Hundred Lane, off Red Hills Road, St Andrew on Tuesday, August 21.
The dead woman has been identified as Afia Fowls, a nail technician also of the same address.
Reports by the Constant Spring police are that shortly after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Fowls and some friends were sitting along a section of the roadway in Hundred Lane, when a Silver motor car drove up.
Further reports are that a group of men travelling on board the vehicle, brandished handguns and opened fire hitting Fowl multiple times to her upper body.
The men escaped in the waiting motor car and the police were summoned. Upon arrival of the lawmen, the scene was processed and the wounded female rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Fowl is said to be the common-law wife of Rohan Nelson, one of the men who was charged in connection with the murder of seven persons at Hundred Lane some time ago.
Nelson was later freed of murder charges. It is also reported that Nelson is presently in lockup on gun-related charges
