Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Common Law Couple Shot up by Gunmen: During an incident which occurred in Negril, Westmoreland on Tuesday (August 8, 2017) morning, a Westmoreland man was shot and eventually died and his common law wife shot and injured by gunmen along a parochial road in Westland Mountain.
Dead is 30-yr-old Christopher Hyatt of Westland in Negril, while his 61-yr-old common law wife has since been admitted to the Sav-la-mar Hospital in serious condition.
Reports by the Negril police are that about 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Hyatt and his common law wife was travelling in his pickup truck along a parochial road in Westland Mountain. On reaching a rugged section of the area they were attacked by armed men who opened fire shooting up the truck. Hyatt managed to drive a short distance before he lost control of the vehicle which crashed in an embankment.
They were later assisted by passing motorists who transported them to the Sav-la-mar Hospital where Hyatt was pronounced dead and his common law wife admitted in serious condition.
