The Spanish Town police are now carrying out an investigation, surrounding the shooting death of a man and his common-law wife, in Spanish Town, St Catherine, on Friday morning, January 4th.

The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old,  Christopher Chambers, laborer of Hopedale Drive, and Sashanna Small of Central Village, both in St Catherine.

Reports by the Spanish Town police are that about 3:30 am, on Friday,  residents living in the vicinity of a house occupied by the common-law couple, in Hopedale Drive, overheard loud explosions coming from the directions of their one bedroom dwelling house, and went to investigate.

Upon their arrival at the house, they stumbled upon the bodies of the common law couple, which were lying in a pool of blood, on the floor of the room, with multiple gunshot wounds.

The police were summoned, and upon their arrival, the scene was processed and both victims were pronounced dead.
