St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Committal Hearing Set: A committal hearing date has been set for who is facing a double murder charge.
Pearce has been accused of the murder of 27-year-old Ryan Jackson and 23-year-old Bucklere Smith, both of St. James addresses.
When the matter was mentioned in the St. James Parish Court Monday, July 17, Presiding Judge Natalie Hart-Hines had dialogue with Pearce’s attorney, Tamika Spencer-Anderson before setting the matter for committal hearing on July 28. She then remanded Pearce to police custody.
The incident reportedly took place on November 12, 2016, after both deceased drove to Discount Lumber and Hardware on Kerr Crescent in Montego Bay.
It is alleged that after the men alighted the vehicle, gun shots were fired by the accused man hitting both men killing them.
However, the police challenged Pearce and shot him before relieving him of a firearm.
