Antonio Mckoy CEO - Mckoy's NewsMontego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Committal Hearing Deferred for Brothers on Murder Rap: Two brothers, Obrian and Oneil Walters, who are facing a murder charge, have to wait a little longer to face their committal hearing.

The hearing was scheduled to get underway in the St. James Parish Court on Tuesday, July 11 but the men’s lawyer, Christopher Townsend was engaged in another matter in the High Court.

On that basis, Parish Judge Sandria Wong-Small deferred the matter until July 20 and remanded the men to police custody.

The men are charged with the murder of Khani Erskine of Norwood in the parish.

It is alleged that on September 22, 2016, sometime in the afternoon subsequent to the murder of one of the men’s cousins at Coral Gardens, they went on a shooting rampage in a motor vehicle, starting from Huga Lane in Norwood, where they opened fire on a group of persons injuring a man and his mother.

The men then went to a gas station on Sunvalley Road where they allegedly opened fire on a customer who was purchasing gas, killing Erskine, who was a passenger in the vehicle and injuring the driver.

Ballistic comparison matches both scenes and the vehicle that was used in the crime was abandoned in the Montego Hills area. When processed, spent shells matching both scenes were found in the vehicle.

The police later received information that the mother of the first man who was injured was subsequently murdered.
